Day 1:
New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) – Gangtok
(130 km / 4 Hours Drive Approximately)
Your trip commences with arrival at the New Jalpaiguri railway station or Bagdogra
airport, where our representative will welcome you and you will be escorted on a scenic
drive to Gangtok. It is among the most visited destinations in India.
Embark on a road trip to reach at an elevation of approximately 4,700 feet where you will
be surrounded by varieties of rhododendron, orchids and colourful flora and fauna.
Upon arrival at the capital city, check in at the hotel and relax. The rest of the day will be
at your will to explore. You can visit the MG Marg which has an electric atmosphere and
is buzzing with shopping arcades and food stalls. You can spend some time by
consuming in the mystic views and shopping for Thangkas- traditional religious
paintings, hand-woven shawls and other items. You can also indulge in horse riding
activities here.
Spend the night comfortably at the hotel in Gangtok.
Day 2:
Gangtok (Tsomgo Lake Excursion and Baba Mandir)
The second day of this tour commences with a healthy breakfast at the hotel in Gangtok,
followed by some local sightseeing expedition.
First, head to the Tsomgo Lake that requires a 3-hour drive to reach. Set at a height of
12,400 feet, the beauty of this glacial lake will be forever imprinted in your mind. It is
considered to be sacred and the lamas in the earlier times predicted the future with the
changing colours of the lake. A dark hue forecasted danger to the city and vice versa. In
summers, the blossom of flowers encloses the lake.
Then, head to the Baba Mandir. It is a shrine set at an altitude of 13,200 feet that is
dedicated to Harbhajan Singh, a former Sentry of Punjab Regiment. It is said that he fell
into a stream and drowned. He appeared in the dreams of his fellow mates and asked
them to make a memorial on his name here. His soul is believed to be guarding the
international boundary between India and China.
An optional tour to Nathula Pass can also be arranged at an extra cost. The pass is
among the highest motorable roads reachable by travellers in the world and it connects
India to China’s Tibet Autonomous Region.
Return back to the hotel in Gangtok for a comfortable overnight stay.
DAY 3:
Gangtok – Lachen (125 km / 6 Hours Drive Approximately)
Have a stomach-filling breakfast and start your day early by checking out from the hotel
in Gangtok and proceeding towards Lachen. Located at an altitude of 8,500 feet, this
quaint hamlet is alluring in its simplicity.
En-route, halt at some sightseeing spots that make the town popular among thousands
of tourists.
Visit the Singhik View point first. It is renowned for the magnificent vista it offers. An
outstanding glimpse of Mt Siniolchu along with the Kanchenjunga ranges and other
peaks can be seen lucidly from here.
Then, head to the Seven Sisters WaterFalls, which makes you feel as though paradise
has been unleashed. Embrace the pristine atmosphere and catch on the rainbow which
is usually produced by the sunlight that passes through the cascades.
Lastly, make your way to the Naga WaterFalls before you head to Lachen. The fall is
ferocious and yet amazing at the same time. Spend some time sipping on hot piping tea
here and do not miss out on clicking a bunch of photos. You can also opt for river rafting
at this place.
Continue your journey to reach the hotel Lachen. On arrival, check in and enjoy a
comfortable overnight.
Day 4:
Lachen – Gurudongmar Lake – Chopta Valley Excursion – Lachung
On this Gangtok Lachen Lachung Pelling Darjeeling tour, have a mouth-watering
breakfast at the hotel and drive to some scenic sightseeing spots.
First, head to the Gurudongmar Lake. The snow-fed creamy water of the lake is
absolutely mesmerising and the views from 17,000 feet are sweeping. It is one of the
highest lakes in the world. It is encircled all around the year by snow-covered peaks and
is considered sacred by the Sikkimese people.
Then, make your way through Chopta Village and Thangu before heading back to the
hotel. Chopta village is perched at 13,200 feet and it is one of the most naturally
picturesque places in the country. A couple of minutes away will have you swooning in
the scenically blessed Thangu Village. You can abide by the nomadic existence of the
native tribes here. It is also very popular for the yak races that are held here. It also lures
thousands of adventure junkies owing to the spectacular hiking trails that the valley
offers.
Drive back to the hotel in Lachen and proceed to the front desk to complete the checkout
procedures. Hop in the car and drive off to Lachung.
On arrival, check in at the hotel and spend a comfortable night in Lachung.
Day 5:
Lachung – Yumthang Excursion – Gangtok
Have a stomach-filling breakfast and start your day early by checking out from the hotel
in Lachung and proceed towards the Yumthang Valley. It stands for ‘The Valley of
Flowers’ and you will drive 11,800 to reach this faultless settlement. With a mere
population, the hamlet basks in the beauty of blooming flowers. You can also visit the hot
springs that are considered to have medicinal curative properties.
Enjoy a short stopover at the Bheema and Twin Falls before heading to Gangtok. On
your way, you will pass through varieties of Rhododendron trees. Both these cascades
are famous spots in Lachung and spending half a day picnicking here provides for a
magnificent experience that you will cherish for a lifetime.
An optional tour to the Zero Point can be arranged for on request and at an additional
cost. Set at an altitude of 15,300 feet above sea level, civilians are barred from going
any further than this point as the international border of China lies only a few meters
ahead.
After sightseeing, continue your journey to Gangtok. On arrival, check in at the hotel and
spend the night in the comfort of the cosy room.
Day 6:
Gangtok – Pelling (120 km / 5.5 Hours Drive Apparently)
On this of your holiday package, have a lip-smacking breakfast at the hotel and proceed
to the front desk of the hotel in Gangtok to complete the checkout procedures. Hop in
the car and drive off to Pelling.
This hilly town is as picturesque as it could get and awaits you with all the warmth of
untouched India. This heaven has luckily escaped commercialisation and hence it can
be your dream holiday destination.
On arrival, check in at the hotel in Pelling and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 7:
Full Day Local Sightseeing in Pelling
Start your day early yet again and treat your stomach to a healthy breakfast meal.
Prepare for some local sightseeing in Pelling.
First, head to the Darap Valley. It offers a serene environment and has become a famous
spot among travellers owing to its sustainable tourism practices. Indulge in
conversations with local people and gain knowledge about the village life in Sikkim.
After you experience the local life and cuisine of the people of Sikkim, visit the Rimbi
waterfalls and the Kanchenjunga waterfalls. These pristine cascades are assumed to be
originating high up in the glaciers of Mount Kanchenjunga.
Then, proceed to visit the Rock Garden and the Khecheopalri Lake. The Rock garden is
an ideal spot for picnickers. There is a beautiful stream running through the manicured
gardens in the park that runs over big and small rocks.
The Khecheopalri Lake is a holy pilgrimage site and is alleged to fulfil one’s wishes. It is
also said that no leaves can ever be seen afloat the lake even though it is set amidst
lush green dense forests.
Next, visit the Rabdentse Ruins, PemaYangtse monastery and the Helipad Ground. The
ruins are a must see for the history-enthusiasts who wish to dig into the state’s glorious
past. The PemaYangtse monastery offers a meditative environment that is quietly set
amidst thick woods. The Helipad Ground offers spectacular views of the Kanchenjunga
mountain peak and the gushing river that flows through the foothills.
Return to the hotel in the evening and stay overnight.
DAY 8 : Pelling – Darjeeling (120 km / 4 Hours Drive Approximately)
Enjoy a palatable breakfast meal at the hotel in Pelling post which, prepare for check
out. Transfers to Darjeeling will be arranged for and you will embark on a road trip that
has a beautiful background of the mighty hills. Be prepared to receive it all for Darjeeling
is a place that has much more to offer than what meets the eye.
On arrival, check in at the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your own will. You can
choose to take a stroll in and around the hotel complex and nibble on some local
delicacies.
Spend the overnight relaxing in the comfort of the cosy hotel room.
Day 8:
Full day local sightseeing in Darjeeling
This day specifically needs you to make a really early start, at 4 a.m. where you will drive
2590 feet above sea level to reach Tiger Hill. The sweeping views of sunrise cannot be
missed from this point where the sun’s rays quietly fill the dark sky with radiating
brightness. Moreover, the panoramic views of the colossal Kanchenjunga mountain
ranges and other snow clad peaks are worth every second of your time.
As you make your way back down, make a quick visit to the Ghoom Monastery and the
Batasia Loop.
Built in 1850, the monastery is the biggest and the oldest Tibetan Buddhist
establishment in Darjeeling. The Batasia Loop is a spiral track of the toy train that is
constructed over a hilltop. The views from both these sightseeing spots are enchanting.
On arriving at the hotel, devour a healthy breakfast and head out for some more
sightseeing.
Visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. It consists of a residential school for
mountaineering students along with a museum that showcases an array of
mountaineering artefacts.
Then, visit the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park. It is shut on Thursdays and is
set at an elevation of 7,000 feet. It is the largest high altitude zoo in India.
Visit the Tenzing Rock next. It is a large natural rock that people used to practice
rock-climbing.
Enjoy an outer view of the Chitrey Tea Garden before you make your way to the
Japanese Temple and the Peace Pagoda. The Japanese temple showcases four avatars
of Lord Buddha and the tranquillity of the place is soothing.
The main aim of the pagoda is to spread the idea of world peace and sanitize the soul
and minds of the people.
Then, in the evening, go to Chowrasta and Mall Road for an evening stroll. The
Chowrasta is a meeting square to shop and lounge. You can indulge in shopping and
enjoy a calm stroll in the bylanes.
After visiting all the local sightseeing places in Darjeeling, return back to the hotel for a
peaceful overnight stay.
Day 9:
Darjeeling – New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport
(IXB) (88 km / 3 Hours Drive Approximately)
Post breakfast on the last day of your Sikkim holiday tour package, prepare to check out
from the hotel in Darjeeling and drive to the railway station/ airport where you commence
